Four Western Mustangs teams are listed in their respective sports' national rankings this week as football, women's soccer, men's hockey, and women's cross country are all listed in this week's Canadian Interuniversity Sport Top 10.
Western's women's Cross Country team captured their third victory of the season with a score of 32 points while the men's team placed third with a score of 76 points at the Windsor Open XC at Malden Park in Windsor on Saturday.
The Western Mustangs women's cross country team took first place, while the men's team placed fifth, at the 40th annual Western International on Saturday afternoon at the Thames Valley Golf Course.
A trio of top 10 finishes in both the men's and women's events helped the Western Mustangs cross country team claim the men's and women's team titles at the McGill Open at Mount Royal Park on Saturday.
The Western Mustangs are pleased to announce the hiring of Guy Schultz as the head coach of the Mustangs cross country program. Schultz takes over for long-time Western coach Bob Vigars who retired this past December.
